Why this is different from a standard SIP calculator
A standard goal-based SIP calculator answers "what SIP do I need, starting from zero." But most investors aren't starting from zero — they already have money invested and a SIP already running, just not always sized correctly against what the goal actually needs.
This calculator projects your existing corpus and existing SIP forward together, using the same future-value math as the other calculators on this site, and compares that projection to your target. The gap it reports — surplus or shortfall — is the number that actually matters: not what a fresh SIP would need to build, but whether what you're already doing gets you there.
