These terms govern your use of the Earmark website, waitlist, and private beta. Please read them carefully before joining.

Acceptance of terms
By accessing the Earmark website, joining the waitlist, or using any private-beta feature of the product, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Earmark.
What Earmark is
Earmark is an explainable goal-planning tool for people who already own mutual funds. It reads your Consolidated Account Statement (CAS), maps the funds you hold to financial goals you define, and explains the reasoning behind each allocation.
Earmark is currently in private beta. Features, availability, and reliability may change without notice, and access is limited to invited waitlist members and cohorts.
Not investment advice
Earmark does not recommend, sell, or distribute mutual funds or any other securities. The allocations, goal-readiness figures, and portfolio-health observations shown in the product are generated from transparent, rules-based logic applied to the data you provide — they are informational and educational in nature, not personalised investment advice.
Earmark is not a substitute for advice from a SEBI-registered investment adviser. Any decision to buy, hold, or redeem a mutual fund investment is yours alone, and you should consult a qualified financial adviser before acting on anything shown in the product.
Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use Earmark.
- Waitlist and beta access is invite-based and offered at our discretion, in cohorts, with no guaranteed timeline.
- You're responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information when registering and uploading documents such as your CAS.
Acceptable use
When using Earmark, you agree not to:
- Upload a CAS or any document that isn't your own, or that you don't have the right to upload.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or to any part of the system not intended for you.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the underlying logic of the allocation engine beyond what's shown in-product.
- Use Earmark to build a competing product or service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.
Your data
You retain ownership of the data you upload or enter, including your CAS and the goals you create. You grant Earmark a limited licence to process that data solely to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't claim ownership of your financial data, and we don't sell it.
Intellectual property
The Earmark name, logo, product design, and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms grants you rights to our trademarks or branding beyond what's needed to use the product as intended.
Third-party services
Earmark relies on third-party infrastructure providers — including Supabase for authentication, database, and storage — to operate. Your use of Earmark is also subject to the availability and terms of those underlying providers, over which we don't have complete control.
Beta disclaimers and limitation of liability
Earmark is provided "as is" and "as available" during private beta, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Allocation logic, goal projections, and health indicators may contain errors, and you should independently verify anything material to a financial decision.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Earmark and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any financial loss resulting from decisions made based on information shown in the product.
Termination
You may stop using Earmark and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, misuse of the platform, or as part of the natural wind-down of a private beta cohort, with notice where practical.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of Earmark will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves from private beta toward public launch. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify active users directly.
